Soar above the snow and ice
Experience Finland's wonderful winter and beautiful landscapes from the air by taking off into the clear sky, above the snow and ice. After dark, you might fly among the northern lights! In addition to the unique flying experience, you will increase your flying skills in the lessons of our experienced staff and learn critical skills for operating in cold and changing weather conditions. Please note that to participate in the winter flight course you must have an LAPL(A) or PPL(A) license.
Blue Skies Pilot Academy's unique winter flight course includes three hours of flight time in winter weather conditions. The flights are carried out from the snowy Lahti-Vesivehma airport. The airport is located just over an hour's drive from the heart of the capital. In addition, the winter flight course includes two hours of theoretical instruction related to winter flying. In the theory part, we learn about the challenges and safety of winter flying.

Skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and other fun winter activities are organized near Hotel Tallukka, in the Himos winter sports center. A moment for calmer relaxation can be found in Hotel Tallukka's pool section. Excellent shopping opportunities are only half an hour's drive away.
